Adding amok to the #MFWF

November 16, 2016

After months in the making, we're super excited to be joining the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival for 2017!

We had the privilege of attending the industry launch at Higher Ground and were in awe of the amazing bunch of people around us. These people are normally behind the scenes (like ourselves) who work tirelessly to give food lovers only the best dining experience.

From personal experience, the sacrifices are endless. The hours are relentless which means we miss many birthdays, engagements, weddings and celebrated milestones of our loved ones. We begrudgingly say no to invitations and often, people will stop inviting us knowing that we won't be available.

We don't serve what we wouldn't eat ourselves so it's early morning wake up calls to source only the best produce possible. We respect all producers and admire their efforts to fortunately give us some of the freshest ingredients and produce possible.

So why do we keep doing it? Simple really, it's because we love what we do.

We love seeing you enjoy what we put in front of you. We appreciate the gratitude when you thank us for giving you a memorable dining experience. We relish in knowing that we've shared something special with you.

That is what makes it worth it.

So we hope that the hours we've dedicated working with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (who have been so incredibly patient with us) is going to give you something new to tr and experience.

For the first time, Chef Woody Chet will run a one night only, masterclass and teach 16 participants how to make fresh kroeung from scratch. He will work with them to produce four courses using the fresh kroeung where they'll all dine on the dinner they've made together. You can find out about these details on our News & Events page or book here: bit.ly/AmokMFWF

Another first is that we will be opening for lunch over four days during the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival for all you nine-to-fivers. We're participating in the Restaurant Express program where you can delve into a sumptuous two course lunch with wine for only $40 per person. You have the option to choose either entrée and main OR main or dessert.

There you have it foodlovers, enjoy.
